From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. Billy Gilbert (September 12, 1894 – September 23, 1971) was an American comedian and actor known for his comic sneeze routines. He appeared in over 200 feature films, short subjects and television shows starting in 1929. He is not to be confused with silent film actor Billy Gilbert (a.k.a. Little Billy Gilbert, born William V. Campbell, 1891–1961).

Neither Criterion Blu-ray or Germany Plaion Blu-ray are great see caps

  • While they are different transfers and the Criterion one is a 4K restoration, it's very soft and has some dark crushes.

  • The Plaion Blu-ray is sharpened and is slightly more zoomed in

Closest to original: 1995 Columbia LaserDisc

But Sony 4K Blu-ray is the best available one.

From cbc:

I much prefer the 4K Blu-ray track. LaserDisc has several nasty constant hums, and even after you remove that, the detail level is on-par with the 4K Blu-ray and has a lot of crackling. The 4K Blu-ray has some variable noise reduction, but it's done well and non-intrusive IMO, I watched it with that track and was happy.
